Head Waiter / Sommelier (m/f/d) – Permanent Position in South Tyrol

South Tyrol, Italy | Long-Term Permanent Position

This is not a seasonal position. For a renowned boutique hotel with an ambitious restaurant in South Tyrol, we are looking for an experienced Head Waiter / Sommelier who is passionate about hospitality and wants to become a long-term part of a special establishment.

We are looking for someone who understands professional service, knows wine and, at the same time, recognises that exceptional hospitality should above all be personal, attentive and authentic.

Who We Are Looking For

You should already have experience in fine dining or upscale gastronomy and feel confident both in service and when it comes to wine.

Particularly important are:

• Experience as a Chef de Rang, Head Waiter and/or Sommelier
• Good knowledge of South Tyrolean and international wines
• Sommelier qualification is an advantage, but not essential
• Experience in high-quality restaurants – not exclusively in traditional mountain huts
• A confident manner and genuine enjoyment of personal interaction with guests
• Professional and well-groomed appearance
• Team-oriented and responsible approach to work
• Very good German OR Italian is essential
• Good English skills

Professional knowledge alone is not what matters. We are looking for someone who genuinely lives and breathes hospitality, looks after guests individually and has a good instinct for when advice is appreciated – and when discretion makes for better service.

Your Role

As Head Waiter / Sommelier, you will be an important part of the overall restaurant experience and a key point of contact for guests.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Professional evening service from Tuesday to Sunday
• Additional lunch service on Sundays
• Preparing the restaurant and terrace for service
• Personally looking after and advising guests
• Wine recommendations and professional wine service
• Food & beverage service
• Close collaboration with the kitchen and service team
• Sharing responsibility for ensuring a smooth and high-quality service
