Job description
Cook (m/f/d) – Switzerland
December 1, 2025 – April 15, 2026 • Bernese Oberland (Switzerland)
Do you love working with good ingredients and are looking for a workplace where craftsmanship, nature, and a true team spirit come together? Then your winter job in Switzerland awaits: a small, charming hotel in the Bernese Oberland, serving its guests heartfelt regional cuisine.
You'll work independently in a small kitchen, preparing both half-board menus and à la carte dishes, and bringing your experience and creativity to the table. Cleanliness, quality, and organization are simply a must for you.
What you can expect:
You'll work 5 to 6 days a week, approximately 42 hours a day, with a regular shift schedule and scheduled breaks. You'll live in a single room with a private bathroom right on the premises. Free meals are provided every day, even on your days off.
Equipment & Clothing:
If possible, please bring your own chef's clothing; if you need anything, the team will help you. The kitchen is well-equipped, and all materials are provided.
Arrival & surroundings:
The farm is accessible by train – we'll be happy to pick you up at the station. In your free time, you can ski, hike, or simply enjoy the mountains. Cafes and shops are nearby, and you'll be staying in the heart of village life.
This is what you should bring with you:
A completed culinary apprenticeship or several years of professional experience is required. You enjoy working independently, in a structured manner, and with a clear overview – even when things get stressful. For team communication, you need German skills that are functional in everyday kitchen life.
Language & Introduction:
You'll receive a thorough on-site introduction and have a contact person at all times. If you have any questions or need support, we and the company are here for you.
Pay:
CHF 3,800 to 4,200 gross per month – depending on qualifications and experience. Accommodation and meals are free of charge. Travel expenses will be partially covered upon request.
How to apply:
Send us your resume – it's easy via SeasonalAlps. We'll contact you personally, guide you through the application process, and continue to be there for you after you start your job.
